Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling

Ballard Rotary is hosting a lithium-ion battery recycling event on Earth Day, April 20th. The collection site will be in the parking lot at Fred Meyer in Ballard, 915 NW 45th St. The campaign seeks to recycle lithium-ion batteries that come in cell phones, laptops, tablets, power drills, e-bikes, electric vehicles and anything that is rechargeable. All lithium-ion batteries are made up of varying amounts of critical minerals like cobalt, nickel, copper and lithium, which can be recycled almost infinitely.…
